Designing a brand identity involves more than just cranking out cool graphics (though that helps). It’s about STRATEGY. The visual identity of your business should reflect its mission, differentiate it in the market, and resonate with its target audience.
SOUTHERN FRIED WU
Student Project
This project required developing both the restaurant concept and its brand identity. The concept was born when I asked myself, if Wu-Tang Clan had a restaurant, what would it serve? Cause that’s the type of thing that goes through my head. Thus, Southern Fried Wu, a Soul Food/Asian fusion concept restaurant was born.
HAIWICK HERITAGE RANCH
Corporate Brand Identity
The Haiwick Heritage Ranch (HHR) project encompassed a full scope of brand strategy and design services. HHR is a working ranch and direct buy beef business in South Dakota. It produces hormone and antibiotic-free, free range black Angus beef and sells directly to consumers.
For this effort, HHR needed an identity that appealed to both a traditional, rural consumer base, as well as urban professionals seeking farm-to-table purveyors. The strategy leverages clean, contemporary typography, fun graphics and a color palette reminiscent of the ranch’s rural South Dakota location.
